Ski Norquay: Starting with the first ski runs cut in 1926, Mt. Norquay now encompasses a wide variety of terrain to suit everyone. Only 10 minutes from the town of Banff makes it the perfect location.

 

Lake Louise Mountain Resort: As Canada's largest single ski area, Lake Louise Mountain Resort offers four mountain faces, 4,200 skiable acres, 139 named trails and a 6-person Gondola.

 

Sunshine Village: With the world's fastest gondola, over 3,300 acres of terrain on three mountains, with an average annual snowfall of over 30 feet the 'Shine' is a must ski.

Winter & Ski Adventure:  Your ski holiday includes a 4-day lift ticket or for those who do not ski or are looking for a break from the slopes,  trade in your lift ticket and get ready for some winter adventure fun exploring Banff National Park.  Choice of optional adventures includes:

 

Ice Walks: Walk on frozen creeks through canyons of ice, past unusual rock formations, ancient Native rock art, and icefalls and through prime wildlife habitat. The history of rock art and the geology of the mountains are at your fingertips as the guides explain their mystery. (Minimum age 8 years)

 

Grotto Canyon Ice Walk: Walk on a frozen creek through Grotto Canyon, past unusual rock formations, ancient Native rock art, and icefalls.  Here ice climbers can be seen scaling the frozen waterfalls.

 

Johnston Canyon Ice Walk: Hike on steel walkways built into the canyon walls that give an airy view of the canyon below  - Travel through prime wildlife habitat on your way to the trail head and learn the clues to how Johnston Canyon was formed - This popular walk will lead you past the lower falls and to the breathtaking upper icefalls.

 

Evening Ice Walk & Campfire: Walk to historic Stewart Canyon Bridge under the night of the winter sky - Explore along the shoreline of Lake Minnewanka, listen to the crackling of the frozen lake’s ice cap, and learn about the native history of the lake as your guide leads you to historic Stewart Canyon Bridge using headlamps.  End the walk with a roaring campfire and toasting marshmallows.

 

Snowshoeing: Explore the National Park by guided snowshoe adventure.    With a choice of two adventures enjoy the wonder and excitement of The Paint Pots or take a Winter Survival Basics mini course.  On either trip you'll see spectacular scenery, winter wildlife and unique mountain locations. (Minimum age 8 years)

 

Winter Wildlife Viewing:  Build a connection to this World Heritage Site as you visit Banff’s landmarks and view wildlife in their natural winter habitat. See and learn about wildlife behavior, habitat, and their winter survival adaptations. (Appropriate for all ages)

 

Sightseeing Tours:  Our sightseeing tours utilize modern 24 passenger buses. All tours are guided by enthusiastic interpretive guides who love to share their knowledge with you. Tour includes Banff hotel pick up and drop off, light refreshments, use of binoculars and spotting scopes as well as hands-on interpretive items. (Appropriate for all ages)

Sleigh Rides:  Relax as you become captured by the breathtaking views and sparkling winter air of the Canadian Rocky Mountains.  The sleigh ride will take you through the Bow River Valley to the remote areas around Banff. (Appropriate for all ages)

The Town of Banff

The town of Banff is a unique destination that expertly accommodates visitors without losing the charm of a small mountain community.   It location in the southwestern corner of Banff National Park, less than a two-hour drive from Calgary International Airport, and just 50 minutes east of Lake Louise makes it the perfect vacation destination.  Because the Town of Banff is just 4km in size, this community really does share this space with the wildlife. Some say that a local on their way to work is as likely to see a deer as a neighborhood dog. Elk, sheep and bear sightings are not uncommon near this town filled with trees, parks and trails.

 

Banff also abounds with opportunities to experience just about anything, from the most rugged of outdoor activities to world-class arts and culture displays. Enjoy strolling alongside locals and world-travelers as you discover a cosmopolitan collection of galleries, boutiques and cafés. Price does not include: Airfare, transfer to and from Banff from Calgary, ski & equipment rental and optional tours.

 

Air Travel: Please note airfare is not included in the price of your tour. Participants will fly into Calgary International airport. Upon arrival airport shuttles and car rentals are available for transfer to Banff (not included in the price of your tour).
