Australia's natural diversity and unique attractions will surprise even the most seasoned traveller. The sheer variety of scenery will take your breath away. Vast regions of red desert sands contrast with rugged ranges and stunning rock formations such as the Northern Territory's Ayers Rock (Uluru) and Western Australia's prehistoric Bungle Bungle Range. The tropical rainforests of beautiful Queensland contrast with the lush fern gullies of Victoria, snowcapped peaks of Tasmania and open plains teeming with native wildlife. We invite you to embrace all these elements of untamed Australia. Savour the beauty of the city of Sydney and its spectacular Blue Mountains, view the magnificent coral and sea life of the Great Barrier Reef, learn about Aboriginal culture and customs and explore the remote wilderness of Australia's spectacular Outback.
Days 1-3: Our Adventure begins in Queensland and the city of Cairns, boasting perfect tropical weather, countless lush rainforests and the beautiful azure waters of the Coral Sea and South Pacific Ocean lapping its coastline. From the dazzling Gold Coast to charming Port Douglas, Queensland holds a special allure for everyone. In Cairns we will experience Aboriginal culture and partake in the wonders of the Great Barrier Reef.
Days 4-9: Next it's off into Australia's Northern Territory of Kakadu and Darwin or the Red Rock Center of Alice Springs and Ayers Rock for our 5 day 4WD Outback Adventure Safari. Your 4WD Safari will allow the maximum interaction between you and the contrasting Australian landscape: the vast regions of ochre red desert sands, rugged ranges and rock formations, tropical rainforests, pristine lakes, and open plains teeming with native wildlife. Take the time to truly get a feel for Aboriginal culture; learn about the natural wonders of the bush, traditional bush medicines and unique Aboriginal rock art. (Depending on the season the Outback adventure will take place either in Australia's Northwestern or Central Territories.)
Days 10-14: We continue into New South Wales and on to Sydney, where over 200 years ago Captain James Cook and his crew sailed into what is now Sydney Harbor. Today Sydney is known as a modern multi-cultural city set beside one of the world's most beautiful harbors. Surrounding the city is some of Australia's most spectacular bush land. Just west of the city is the dramatic range of the Blue Mountains. Here, we explore rainforests and scenic ridge tops and see koala, kangaroo, emu and other fauna and flora that makes Australia a truly unique and exciting place to vacation.
